Where is the venue?
The wedding will take place at Lisa's family home in the beautiful French countryside, just outside the quiet little village of Gensac in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of Bordeaux.

How to get to us:
The best airport to fly into is Bordeaux (BOD) Merignac, which is just a 1hr 15min drive from Gensac. Alternatively, Bergerac airport (EGC) is an option which is just 40 mins away, however flights are less frequent and often much more expensive. We always go with Bordeaux.
We highly recommend renting a car for your visit, as we live in the countryside and public transport is not really an option. Car rental is easy from Bordeaux airport. Bear in mind it will be peak season, so best to book in advance.
There is also a car rental option closer to us in the village of Castillon, should you prefer to book at a later date or need an extra vehicle (no need to get all the way back to Bordeaux).

By Train:
There is a train between Bordeaux city centre (Gare de Bordeaux Saint-Jean) and Velines, which is our closest station. This journey takes about 50 minutes. Velines is about a 15min drive from the venue.

There is an easy shuttle bus, the 30'Direct, between Bordeaux Merignac Airport and Bordeaux St-Jean train station. Otherwise taxis or Uber work as well.

By Taxi:
A private taxi from Gensac to Bordeaux airport is about 150€. The company we use is based in Velines, and if you don't speak French, the best way to communicate with them is through WhatsApp (this way you can easily share pick up locations).
